Jisc digital maturity report connects student feedback with service review
Updated Oct 27, 2026
Jisc's digital maturity report, Beyond digital foundations, published on 22 September 2026, examines how UK higher education providers organise digital change.
What the Jisc digital maturity report adds
The assessment received 88 responses from 83 higher education providers, with some organisations submitting multiple responses. It ran in May and June 2026, with invitations sent to senior institutional roles across the UK. The responses are institutional self-assessments. The report cautions that its selected questions indicate broader patterns rather than measure every aspect of digital maturity.
In the full report's student experience discussion, respondents describe disconnected systems, communication and support. Its account of more mature practice includes student partnership and using feedback in continuous review of teaching, assessment and wider experience. The relevant sections are on pages 33 and 35.
