This policy explains what personal data Student Voice Systems Limited ("we", "us") collects when you subscribe to The Student Voice Weekly newsletter or listen to the podcast, how we use it, and your rights under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Student Voice Systems Limited is the data controller. You can contact us at info@studentvoice.ai.
When you subscribe to The Student Voice Weekly we collect your email address. Our newsletter is managed by Buttondown, LLC, which acts as our data processor. Buttondown may also record open and click events and your IP address on our behalf. You can read Buttondown's privacy policy for full details.
When you listen to or download The Student Voice Weekly podcast, our media server records limited technical information needed to deliver the audio and understand aggregate downloads: the episode requested, date, approximate country from the request, podcast app or browser user agent, bytes served, and a daily hashed listener fingerprint. We do not store raw IP addresses for podcast analytics.
We use your email address solely to send you The Student Voice Weekly and occasional updates about Student Voice AI. We do not sell, rent, or share your email address with any third parties for marketing purposes.
We use podcast download analytics to count downloads, understand which podcast apps are used, and monitor whether episodes are being delivered reliably. Podcast listener fingerprints are used only to deduplicate downloads within a 24-hour window.
We process your email address on the basis of consent. You provide consent when you enter your email and subscribe. You can withdraw consent at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us directly.
We process limited podcast delivery and aggregate analytics data on the basis of our legitimate interests in delivering the podcast, measuring downloads, preventing duplicate counts, and maintaining the service.
Newsletter subscriber data is shared with Buttondown, LLC, which processes and delivers emails on our behalf. Podcast audio delivery and analytics are processed through Cloudflare. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing.
Buttondown is based in the United States. Cloudflare operates a global network. Where data is transferred internationally, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or the UK-US Data Bridge where applicable.
We retain your email address for as long as you remain subscribed. When you unsubscribe, your email address is removed from our active mailing list.
Podcast listener fingerprint rows are retained for up to 35 days for deduplication. Aggregate podcast download counts do not identify individual listeners and may be retained for reporting.
